A Wish to never be RescuedA Poem by Andrew Nelson Stewart
Appalling Silences that broke away from the vibrations of these avalanches looking for meaning, looking for something to bury, instead of running the absence of your eyes intervened of what was to come in this very moment
Not so worried what swept the dust of the doors that slammed the quickest when my remembrance came around the corners with a lantern knocking on each unanswered door A gaze of ice that covered up my eyes A racing- heart going A uncertainty if one of the doors opened with memories of you
A heart that seems to freeze by repeating things over and over again This was my only talent I've mastered in this immunity to time. Deeper ways was nothing but an understanding that I was lost Scavenger hunts in the horizons of your eyes where sunsets went quiet to see if a reflection experiencing the same thing Only seeing my frost-bite fingers laying down remembering what it was like to collapse upon your skin under your hands intertwining with yours.
