The Steady Hand that BreaksA Poem by Andrew Nelson Stewart
In the most of breathing mist by things we used to catch, the ways of setting freedom slowly closing the eyelids one by one, voicing the emotion over and over again hoping that you can feel it to. We search, we cuddle in between beliefs that passing wind and moving rivers won't move us apart. Now beside soft-cold air upon your layers of life holding those answers that made the world seem possible to play our games hide and seek,
Knowing everything there took you where you need to know about pain and love that in between those extremities we would always find each other, hideouts we'd always escape to if the outside got too cruel. Lately been hiding in lightshows that sparkle only for awhile, though the illumination upon my cloths day after day showed your clinging marks of saying " I hold you close also, if the passing wind and moving rivers take you away." Being caught up in convoy of time peeling one day after the next, to feel the material of deepness as your hideout was much more than a playground that kids ran through as the sun gave it's ceremony everyday. Yours was simply dancing in the rain middle of a white sky, refusing to hear anything else but the sounds of raindrops bringing memories where we choose to be and somehow we always believed a rainbow will be at the end of every storm. This was larger than life, it was a story unwritten but written between our souls cuddled up together, hiding together creating a latent love pulling each other's sleeve to join and to follow each other's hideouts, where our hideouts where one of the same. © 2017 Andrew Nelson StewartAuthor's Note
