![]() Reflection Pulling ReflectionA Poem by Andrew Nelson Stewart![]() The Dragon-fly drawing a photo finish. All I can do is stare, nothing more than convalescing things.![]()
I speak when I'm near, my notebooks shredding feels of home through runs of fingertips that I can no longer hold, Beginning to break in sounds you'd hear in a distance away, away from life playing its songs Though being safe, only thought I was while beneath lamps hovering ideas, sometimes it gets used and other times I know little that this lion was caged long before I found the key. These silhouettes that used to keep me company, now left me in silence, Left me alone picking pieces of frames, a bit of emotions I have left over Glimpses of a faded reflection molding some figures to keep, reminded what these uniforms used to look like, The one I wore from a dance in moonlight's anniversary, The one I washed from time to time, to keep the purity in a bottle to shake up when I got nervous of newly grounds, The one that was a gift I would never let go of, even in walks to the bridge that talks to me when I walk across. The one that felt the same temperatures of time living in different weathers.
Casting strong shadows as having such a surface, To Looking in a house on the edge of the world, To ask it's windows Am I dying alone? I'm scared, missed being carried to sleep , Hiding under places that a inner child knew, that knew nothing about hearts Until, a future part of it fell to the ground. © 2016 Andrew Nelson StewartReviews
