Targeting MomentsA Poem by Andrew Nelson StewartMysterious seeker in this lonesome world of moratorium. In reflections of gold with speaking eyes in hope of tomorrow, savvy eagles shooting at tomorrow's past with no one to write essays on this giving afternoon. Sneaking away buried in high hopes of being snatched and carried away, Tomorrow holding either side of each moment that begs you to stop time with different reasons to stay, In reflections of tapping myself together, a talent to know how and a talent to give away for a later movie to show, all of these things become tangible through open eyes. Though waiting and seeing alongside of graves never getting old, only seems old in spirits running home mirroring each other. Looking back how I can't remember the days before while continuing this ride, fighting the ways of being drowned just need more breaths to stay alive, latching on with all I can, this write might not make sense to you nor will these words, I'm asleep thinking I'm awake and some nights staying awake thinking I'm asleep, To be languished without an avalanche to tell how you feel, All I can do is sit next to this fire I made and look up at the velvety night sky wondering" why?, why am I still here?, why these towering crackles of wood saying nothing but warmth? or should I sit by stirring the ashes of a previous fire with memories holding onto ambers crippling away in your hands later leaving a symbol on your screaming skin?".
Once in while the thin covering ice over thy ocean can show you what you missed and what you need to see. © 2016 Andrew Nelson StewartReviews
