EliteA Poem by AndrewWritesA piece I wrote in a pretty short amount of time. I feel it puts light on a very real issue, but thats just my opinion.Hate is what fuels the great American machine, The greedy and the wealthy sit and watch their diamonds gleam. They sit and watch the hungry starve and take another bite, Spend another stack and there's a party every night. The man who goes hungry and sleeps in the dark, Has a small tent in the bushes at the park. He and his children are struggling to survive, While the strong elite in America can thrive. A man can die of sickness because the payments out of reach, While a rich man buys another large house on the beach. Refuse to speak to lower class cause they're the bottom shelf, If this applies to you, then take a look at yourself. People argue who's better Trump or Hilary, Who they think should hold the presidential victory. Either way the only thing they'll do is hold you down, Telling me to pick between the liar or the clown. Both rich and powerful and don’t care about you, Claim they’ll help the people with those thousand dollar shoes. Hate is what fuels the great American machine, The greedy and the wealthy dominate the scene. Until we free ourselves from the greed and the hate, Nothing else can fuel us and its not up for debate. © 2017 AndrewWrites
