Triangle

Triangle

A Poem by John
"

I hope you can figure this one out.

"

Whichever path I choose,

the other I'll probably lose.

there's no going back,

along this forked track.

The first is fresh,

and invites me in,

but the other I've known

and still has mystery within.

Do I choose the safe course?

Knowing I'll be fine?

Or do I choose to tread along

what I've felt to be right?

 The other way is rough,

and I may end up alone,

and the first one will always

lead me back to my home.

The other may not want me

to wander her fields,

but the first always beckons

and she has yet to yield.

The first wants me close,

but the other doesn't know,

they both lay before me,

and I know not where I'll go.
