Pripyat

Pripyat

A Poem by John
"

I was partially inspired by another poet on this site and by going-ons in my life to write this piece. Hope you all enjoy,

"
I left my heart in Pripyat,
but I could never venture back.
Ardania holds it closer now,
a place where Man cannot be found.

Forgotten realms
and heroes' helms,
a scattered, broken home,

Burning fields
and shattered shields,
a path that lets you roam.

Old but true, the tarmac spreads,
and greets the rivers' running beds
my Narnia wastes away tonight
but explosions in the sky make light.
