![]() Weave and Thread and StitchA Poem by Andrew Rayne![]() I am not looking, but if I was, it'd be for you.![]()
I won't flatter you,
However,
Turn the afternoon into midnight, Then I would want it to be you. If ever there was a person who with a single glance,
Turn the stars into quiet sighs filled with romance. Hold me as if I am the only person that fits in their arms,
I can see this and more in you. More than evening lights,
I see you stitching together the pieces of me. Slowly,
It hasn't been whole in a long time It isn't you,
If there was ever anything I wanted more however,
It would be the way you make me feel when I hold all the pieces,
Thread your name over all the others so I can forget about all the pieces they stole. I'm not whole,
Secretly I'm trying my best to weave together the littlest of your pieces. That way when we both run out of material,
