Kindled Hearts

Kindled Hearts

A Poem by Andrew Rayne
"

I remember and remember still.

"
I hope my name is Genuine.
I hope when you stumble across it in your memories,
you would be in no hurry to separate the two.
Rather you would love,
as I have loved,
the sound it makes when it rolls off your tongue.
These days,
you have quiet the party assembled.
Gentlemen are often in special request for such occasions.
So well fashioned,
and clothed in such elegance that they could entertain you for hours.
I wonder if I'm still your type.
I wish you goodnight again,
and again,
respectfully.
Dreaming of a nameless bliss
that put her faith in mine.
I remember,
and remember still.
Moonlit bonds vowed in loves embrace.
Swearing endless enmity to anything that would remove me from you.
The truest love that ever a heart had felt,
I had felt then,
and now.
