Caged

A Poem by A J Lobley

Caged

Here is sit in my cage
No one can here my silent rage
Seed to my left, water to my right
Never seeing the suns radiant light

My master comes so I whistle a tune
But then he leaves far too soon
But when he goes he outs the light
I can now look forward to the endless night

I dream of flying over a grassy plain
Then up in to a cloud of rain
I dream of flying over the emerald sea
Then I see my kin and they sing with glee

I fly higher up into the sky
A sight so beautiful I begin to cry
But then my master returns to my side
So I must end my joyous ride

So here I sit in my cage
No one can hear my silent rage.

I liked this. I'm sure I've felt this feeling from time to time. Just a few spelling errors i noticed, but otherwise this is a wonderfully written piece.

Great Write.
