Just A Wish

Just A Wish

A Poem by A J Lobley

Just a wish

I wish that I could wake up one day blind,

And not se a world unkind

Images gone sights unseen

No longer seeing a world so mean

People dying for a belief

No longer seeing no more grief

I wish that I could wake up one day deaf

A not hear a final breath

Voices and music are now silent

No longer hearing a world so violent

Going to war with little aim

No longer hearing, no more pain

I wish that I could wake up one day numb

And no feel a world undone

No more feelings no, no more sorrow

No more anger about who we follow

Gone is what our fathers build

No more feelings no more guilt
