One Big Family

One Big Family

A Poem by Andrew Hoyes
"

One Big Family is basically about being together as God wants us to be in a family. Not only that but I'm trying to emphasise that we are all on one level .

"
Why do we envy and hate one another.
Why do we destroy each other.
How does it profit to despise your brother.
Is this good for our souls.
Does it matter because of colour.
Do you have to be called black or white.
Aren't we all apart of God's big family.
Don't you see.
It's not me it's we.
So don't say your not good enough.
Or your too good for this.

I loved this piece. It seems sometimes we all ask these questions once in a while. I especially love this stanza:

Aren't we all apart of God's big family.
Don't you see.
It's not me it's we.

It was brilliant, written beautifully. I loved it!

I liked this alot the message is really great! I especiall liked the second to last verse. That one had really great rythm if the rest of your poem did as well it would be doubly as great! It actually reminds me of a song I know. It;s called brother, my brother by the blessed union of souls

We are a part of God's family, yes? Enjoyed reading your work. pat

In the last two lines- "you're" not "your."
In the first two lines, I think there were supposed to be question marks.

Other than that, interesting work. Good message, though I would have worded some stuff a little differently. Keep writing!
