Once Upon a Time

About a ''Once upon a time...''

      Once upon a time,

in a land where you were mine,

   I would swear I was in love.

 

      We would lay on the grass,

and let the time pass;

      You would swear that I was yours

   by all the time that was ours.

 

      You'd place your head upon my chest,

I'd listen to every breath;

      I'd kiss you upon the brow,

   swearing I'd never let you down.

 

       The sun would come and set,

while we sat on top of the hill

   where we first met.

 

      But, the clouds came to stay

and nothing was ever the same,

   in this once upon a time...
