PastA Poem by Andrew Flisser
In the past
confusion sets in, He hears it clearly now. As his heart slowly starts to fall apart. His tears burn like gasoline. Running down his cheek. He melts into himself. Finding comfort in nothing. What he has become over the years slowly fading away. Starting to crumble. His mind plays tricks, things that are as little as can be become huge in his eyes. He slowly starts to come out of his emotionless coma. He bids what he's known adieu, The things he's lost slowly coming back into proportion. He slowly becomes an emotional wreck. But he understands. He understands that the wall he built up around himself, is crumbling. He enjoys every second of it. © 2008 Andrew Flisser |
