Citrus

Citrus

A Poem by AndrejPro

From the citrus tree I draw

a hue of sparkled orange blotch

one from many of its kind

that revives the orchard into light

from dawn till’ noon the light will shine

extinguish briefly, night will rise

colors darken, the sun will sink

the orange hue from the sky

vanish vainly and resign

the ripe citrus through the night

carries weakly with no might

for the coming day holds something new

the break of light will stay true

stain the sky in blossom blue

let the citrus redeem its hue

the day of hope comes too soon

lights the world to glow with ease

as I draw an orange from the trees
