What Have I Done To You?

What Have I Done To You?

A Story by Andrei Arenas
"

A boy try's to be friends with a girl, but he also has feelings for her, but she rejects him to the point his heart falls apart and eventually dies.

"
It was a warm spring morning. The aroma of the flowering trees filled the air. A boy see's a girl walking outside. She was new to the neighborhood. She had beautiful, long, golden hair that shined with the morning sun When he saw her, he could not keep his eye's off of her. He had never seen a girl so beautiful in his life. It was almost as if she was a present sent to him from God.
It turns out she rides the same bus he does to school. On the bus, he introduces himself. "My name is Michael. What is your name?" he asked. She replied "My name is Pamela." He blushes a little, but not noticeably. One month later, he goes to see her in the hallway. He says "Hi Pamela." She looks at him and says "Don't talk to me." He ponders for a few seconds, then he asks "Why can't I just-" She cuts him off and says "Look, just leave me alone!" At that very moment, he felt his heart sink.
From that day on, he goes to see her again every morning. One morning, he stops her in the hall. She looks at him with an annoyed look on her face and says "What did I tell you before? Leave me alone!" He says "I really need to tell you something." She says angrily "Look I don't want to talk to you and whatever you have to tell me can wait for another time. Just leave me alone!"
Later that day, when he goes home, he locks himself in his bedroom. He starts writing on a piece of paper for hours. He puts the paper in an envelope. He comes by her house and slips the envelope in her mailbox. When he gets back home, he find's his dad's revolver and loads a bullet. He locks his bedroom door and- BANG! The gun drops to the floor and so does his body. His parents rush up the stairs and bust down his door. They see blood all over the room with their son lying on the floor with a hole through his head. His mother falls to the ground crying while looking at the bloody sight in her son's bedroom.
The next morning Pamela's mom tells her that Michael died. She says "Well, I never really cared about him anyways." Her mom hands her an envelope. The envelope reads "To: Pam" She opens it and finds a letter. The letter reads:
"Dear Pam,
Look I'm sorry if I have ever bothered you. All I wanted to tell you was that when I first saw you, you were like Christmas Morning. You were by far the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I really wanted to be friends with you, but there was just one problem. I just refused to not look at you. There was just something that you had that no other girl had. And that was inner beauty. But you decided to be really rude to me and not allow me to say this. I have never done anything to you for you to be this way towards me. What have I done to you?
   Love,
   Michael"
