In the Shadows He Waits

In the Shadows He Waits

A Poem by Andrea Vargas
"

Love is in the shadows

"

He beckons to me,

He lingers by,

This face I constantly see.

Sometimes sweet,

Sometimes strange,

But we never did meet.

He hides in the shadows,

He whispers in my mind,

A thought that tickles with time,

"earnesty

and  a mystified love rhyme.

He beckons to me,

He lingers by,

His face I constantly see,

In the shadows  I know he waits for me.

I think the ending was perfect. Its simple and that's why all the more beautiful.

Yes it's quite seductive really, you are right the ending is sorta cliche. Hmm, perhaps a more mysterious ending altogether would be better?

Nothing wrong with the ending gives it a bit of eerie mystery as is he a scared suitor or a stalker. Nice use of imagery and something drew me to choose this piece not sure what lol. Keep em' coming
