Trapped In the Prison

Trapped In the Prison

A Poem by Andrea Vargas

Trapped in the prison of ones trials and errors,

Forced to listen to the abrupt preaching of despairs,

Longing to escape but outside the body I reach,

Forced to watch this terror screaming

 unobtainable leach,

The torment increases, seizes my brain!

As everybody tells me the rules of being insane,

Lord I want to escape,

Please wrap me up in your merciful cape,

Just take me...

Please?

I only scrape the flesh and soul from others,

Watching them bleed in the stench of my own disgrace,

Longing!

Only longing to escape but outside the body I reach,

Oh how my phantom longs to embrace..

But only the cursable leach can speak

Speaks of words unture and daggers at force,

Come on girl nows your cue!

Reanimate yourself through that thicket so coarse,

Let your words meet that innocent gaze of perpetual love,

Stare down on it,

With each aggresive shove,

Look to your heart for the truth about you,

Beckon toward reality,

as your mind cant do!

Seek yourself to catch..

Your one spirit.. the phantom that unwillingly detached.

You start with despair as I read down the lines of this one...and you develop a way out of this as I continue with the rest of the verse...and build up inspiration in the last part...giving a path to a new outlook...
