Warzone of Love

Warzone of Love

A Poem by Andre Waters II

Should I fall for you,
Will it be worth what I could lose?
Is it the bud or the booze
That's making it hard to choose?
Whatever the decision I make
What is there to prove?
Three kings couldn't dictate my will.
I promise you the wounds heal.
I'm a cure that also kills
This isn't you're black knight
But it is your shining armor thrill.
Gods are calling the fight
The lightning won't strike
The winner of the war, sparing his life,
But the fallen may become a sacrifice.
Am I wrong to use you as my warning
That losing is the key to your morning?
If I fail, does the fire in you continue burning?
Am I adding to your flame,
Am I keeping your wheels turning?
A darkness is covering our sanctuary.
The light is dimming, answers are deserving
Promises are blank and wary.
I seen you like this before
But never this swank and glary.

About
I've used warning signs, focal points and makeshift gauges. I've moved further than I ever thought I could, but I'm still missing a lot more than I thought I would. That doesn't stop me from moving cl.. more..
