You at my Door, My Heart in Yours

You at my Door, My Heart in Yours

A Poem by Andre Waters II

Have I been this way before
You're soaking wet outside my door
The rain is heavy and continues to pour
I'm not the same man you said you adore
I know I'm wrong, but yet you're here
Is it my arms around you, you want my dear
This tenure we held, has reached its end
But Here you are, wanting to be my friend
After all I've done, you've returned again
After the pain I've bought, you want amends
What have I done to deserve this chance
Opening the door to your lusting glance
Seal your faith in me to be better
In the midst of this weather
You ensure that we'll live forever
In this life together
Maybe this love is inevitable
Maybe resisting is impenetrable
I'm not sure, but I'm lost in you.
After all, this love is for two.

I've used warning signs, focal points and makeshift gauges. I've moved further than I ever thought I could, but I'm still missing a lot more than I thought I would. That doesn't stop me from moving cl.. more..
