My DreamA Poem by Andra Davis
Over a misty valley of pain
You come to me in a dream again In an embrace very tight We could break to bits and fly away In the melting pools of light I pray for a prayer of love But ravens peck away my words Angered at me for spoiling the calm Of a silent night that must never be stirrred Touching me softly, healing me within Slipping on my finger, a silver ring You kiss and mend my broken wings Leaving me filled with a joyful dance You slip into a cloud of chance Fading into a wall of dark mist Your breath still warm on my skin Your love taking new root in me I rise from my hazel dream Sure and beautiful again The way I once used to be © 2024 Andra DavisFeatured Review
