Wilt

Wilt

A Poem by Andy Ruffett
"

Loss in a rose.

"

Once I saw a rose on a mournful sunny day

No colour left, just a rose black and grey

No blush of red, no green was seen

as it lay wilting in the spring

And as the sun was hot,

the wind screamed through trees

about a lost soul

lost at sea

My Rose,

gone

I am reading this as I love roses, and I can relate to loss - interesting conversion of the state of the rose to a lost soul lost a sea. Your Rose is also gone in the hot sun as the heat has wilted the rose.
