FAT (Fatman in A Train)

FAT (Fatman in A Train)

A Poem by Andy Ruffett
"

On my way to Geneva, I had the unfortunate account of sitting beside this fairly large man on the train leaving Paris. This is my experience.

"

Disgusting fat man who sleeps beside me,

You smell of expired sweat and reek of piss

Maybe you don’t care if I’m unhappy,

But I’ve been slaughtered of any bliss

Your beard is prickly and I’d never kiss

A part of your body because can’t you see,

That you’ll break the seat if you sleep like this

Disgusting fat man who sleeps beside me

I’m tired, but there’s no hope for me

A bed is what I truly miss

It’s better than this boulder catastrophe

You smell of expired sweat and reek of piss

Now I write a pleasant list

Of all the things I’d love to see

Instead of this massive brick

Maybe you don’t care if I’m unhappy

On the train, I’d love to be free

Away from your breathing and be able to kiss

The sweet air of beautiful sanity

But I’ve been slaughtered of any bliss

Disgusting fat man who sleeps beside me

He didn't need to be a fat man to keep my attention, just that fact that he smelled like piss was enough. Oh, how disgusting beautiful is your poem!

Believe me, it was unpleasant.
