INSIDE AND OUT

INSIDE AND OUT

A Poem by Andy Ruffett
"

Betrayal can cut deep.

"

When I'm inside, I feel pure and alive

But when I enter the hall, I stumble and fall

I feel like a meadow being run over by a train

And as I'm outside

I know,

I know,

All the suffering and pain

I've caused

Like a wrecking ball throwing itself into all the ones you care about

The luscious stream of ruined dreams all ripped up at the seams

You wander the streets blinded

Looking

Looking at all the pain you've caused

All the lives you've struck through with your chainsaw of pain

How can you even live again?

When a man falls you look and spit on him, never looking at the waste

Hate,

Hate's a strong word, a word that people can't say

A better word is the fact that you're a

wasteland betrayed
