Chatter from outside

Breaths held as some sleep

In the afternoon light

The sun is shining, yet, we are stuck in a classroom

The bright rays open themselves to the clean glass windows

With the curtains drawn aside

The traffic outside is heard but at a mere monotone

Suddenly someone laughs

To find all this quite amusing raises my curiosity

Though, he is laughing at a piece of paper

Rather than the scenery

Suddenly all is quiet except the turning of a page

This is D.E.A.R.
