Almost LoveA Poem by AndBeForgottenFor all the almost lovers in my life, and in othersHer light’s so stark & staid as she makes small talk in the street, bewildering the deadly ice glamor intensity. Cold fingers trace limpid emotions Images flash before the eyes, departing from the hope in them Breaking of the blessed gray and blue hues of the desperate love needing ones Takers of this disposition in direct opposition Propensity of addressing the loveless Imposing affection-less love Sinking feelings are holding her heavy with doubt. Dripping disdain, and feeding the drought Living with the fire of lioness Growing with the hate of her almost love almost nothing.
