Azure Eyes

Azure Eyes

A Poem by AndBeForgotten
"

A poem I wrote for my boyfriend in summer of '08...

"

Oh how livelier I can feel,

This story unrevealed

Ended, ere it began,

The voices in the trees.

Ethereal wings, mirrored eye

Skin which breath hath yet devoured

So merely infinite,

This beauty not meant to be known.

He notices smaller things,

A hand softer laid.

He waited while she passed

A narrow road unscathed.

A thought proceeded to euphoric ones,

And so produced his raptures.

The feelings in the air,

Tighten as a cocoon.

Suspense leads to the threshold

Of greater knowing yet.

Whether insignificant or unthinking,

Is yet to be understood.

To intellectuals a paradise,

To others a solicited equilibrium.

Azure eyes titillate, as does a feather

Caress and substance being; to delight or inebriate

Which one I am unsure.

Knowing of a summer night,

Conversations and conscientiousness

He hath no obligation,

Yet eloquence proceeds;

And warming my inclement ear,

To a land agleam with lights.

So moving and beautiful, expressive of the depth and richness of life and love. Each line is such a vivid, poignant moment in time.
