Simple TruthA Poem by AndBeForgotten
Pale moon of light. Paint a picture in your mind. Cold turned my words to ice- They drift away in the wind before you can read them Quiet kisses under the velvet sky of night. Whispers in the dark "take it from me now" Passion in its being. Gray clouds over my bed, drift away gently. You turned me into someone new- somebody loved. Those luminous eyes; pallid blue Cut heart shaped holes in me. Paper dreams line the cage of my heart ready to be burned… Set me afire. Songs you sing to me late at night drift into my sleeping, filling me with brilliance I lost the key to open your heart. Make me one of silver glass- to wear around my neck To glistening in the light of day I've gotta have you. Hands clasped over, crying silent Unwanted tears glisten on pale cheeks. I close my eyes to disappear… Forget the words you used to say to me. I am startled by your heartfelt cries your face against the glass. Words resounding "I still love you". Light takes the trees by my window reveling your face; my past. Revelation of a new day. © 2009 AndBeForgotten |
