Transatlantic Voyages

A Poem by AndBeForgotten

I watched the world turn upside down,
the stars became the sea.
I leaned over the starboard side
to see its emcee.
I saw a man who's pride was bent
in amorphous forms
who's teeth where shattered
from the fight
who's opponent outperformed.
I asked him what his purpose was,
pausing, he then replied,
"I'm here because of my mistakes,
to forgive those I despised."
A falling star went shooting by,
interrupting my reply
I watched as he caught it by the tail and ate it whole.
