The Dreamer's Sleep

The Dreamer's Sleep

A Poem by AndBeForgotten

In the air of twilight the dreamer's sleep,

a whisper in the dying light of day.

In the stillness discord,

static charge of electronic reliance

cries out to the cold universe.

The other side of the pillow,

beneath the surface, young lovers cling in tangled torment

a poly silk display

filamentous record of our movements,

crushed under the weight of heavy thought-filled dreamers,

down and down into a lumpy plane of discomfort.

The Voltaic pile hums in the most inopportune times,

In the early hour, the echo of the poets wonder

inks itself on silky pages,

in dreamer's sleep,

in dreamer's sleep.

My mind tends to wonder.

Interesting! a dream about heartbreak, A definite journey through the mind of the writer.

This is so beautifully bittersweet... that haunting place of dreams in distance... echoes of life in shadow... Read through and then again... discovered new paths for my mind... What a stunning journey.
