"Laughter..."

"Laughter..."

A Poem by Chris
"

A pretty day...

"

"Laughter..."

Laughing is all we can do sometimes...
and yet it's so strange how we can hear
our tears -
isn't it?

Living is so many little things
quiet and unimposing - things
moments strung together on strands
of whim...

impromptu wishes
heated and wanting whispers
a meaningless and yet soul-full touch

a smile that fell out of the stars

a look that just paused

  e v e r y t h i n g

and the world moved on but YOU -

no, you didn't move

on or anywhere at all... did you.

Living isn't about the I's
but yes it IS -

it soooo really is
about eyes

and seeing

about fingertips - reaching,

touching, grasping TIGHT,

holding - HOLDING!

About - letting go ...gone

knowing - so little
too much,  about asking

for nothing, anything, everything...

breathing - and when you can't -

breathing ...still
and
Living is the sound of
every thing - beginning,

ending, coming

going

falling so far you touch the sun
rising beyond having dreams anymore
listening - with your heart because

  you HAVE to
there IS nothing else at all you COULD do.

Strange how laughter just echoes and echoes
when we feel good,

bad
...and all the tears
- tears - colorless droplets of
pain's, joy's, pride's,

life's - essence
mark our presence

here ...isn't it?

Chris

Interesting how we can be both happy, and sad at the same time. There are times that you feel you just can't go on, but you do. Life goes on, and carries you with it, no sense fighting - go with the flow, we are meant to be happy. Love to hear your laughter, Chris.

So many things mark our presence .. as you write, especially the tears .. . I remember tears when THEY came into the world (Joy) .. and tears at each right of passage (Pride).. and tears for their endings .. and losses .... and for mine (Pain) .. little marks falling down , even streaming down .. flooding .. carrying little bits and pieces with them .. .. And their laughter, that makes me cry now, when I think of it .. and it makes me pray for smiles and sweet laughter .. again (Hope) .. ..
You always touch places, And that's a good thing .. now my coffee is salty .. And Your words, Paused Everything .. .. And I can hear my heart beating .. .. ..

We missed You .. I missed you, as Robbie wrote, You always touch the soul , and cause us to know, what we still can feel and do .. ..

Take care .. Jazz

Nice to hear the in-side side of Chris you've been taking care of during your absence. And here I thought you were playing cards. Beautiful and melodic. The resonance of this bell tolls long after the cessation of words. As usual.

You said it best!...your words touch my soul... Coffee and a conversation with you could be the most therapeutic part of anyone's day! Thank you for sharing your wealth of wisdom, Chris.
