"Through The Looking Glass..."

"Through The Looking Glass..."

A Poem by Chris

"Through The Looking Glass..."

its not silent - sitting here...
the thoughts run and run.
...the fingers can sit frozen -
but it isn't silent.

How do I say
what is and isn't -
where tomorrow will be
where i ...might - be.

Take a breath
it's sunrise, another

it's sunset.  Yesterday,
it rained and today tears fell.

and it's a world - out here
a place where people are
i breathe... and pause
...and it isn't silent...
here.

Thoughts always run .. and then run through .. but some never seem to quite make it out .. or get lost , or quiet .. No it isn't silent here .. I agree ..
Thanks for sharing a little bit, of Your world ..

I love to pause .. and read your thoughts .. Jazz

i think this is probably my favourite of your poems so far.
Not overly worded or heavy with description, but you've managed to capture something that I can only say - even only think - clumsily.
Wonderful work.

Why do I feel such a sense of isolation and loneliness? A desire to join the crowd yet confined to one's thoughts, keeping one stagnat and frozen in their own world... nothing but the voices in the mind to keep him company.
