poor bird must've had a broken wing when it fell to earth. it was a devastating loss that the clouds in mourning cried over the bird. very moving and sad imagery. excellent poem.

You mentioned a bird once before in your writing, a childhood pet that died. Now I'm wondering about this poor birdie. The clouds have cried a lot today.

Awww! And yet...not even a sparrow falls without the knowledge of the Father. I have always loved that verse of Scripture. I find it incredibly hopeful, even in the midst of loss.
