"A Coffee Moment..."

"A Coffee Moment..."

A Poem by Chris
"

A past written and yet they're always becoming still relevant - moments of life...ya know?

"

This IS a past write and yet they're always becoming still relevant somehow and when - more moments of life...ya know?  I get a bit thought-full at times... as I wander places and leave noseprints behind.

"A Coffee Moment..."

So how are you 'dealin'
- with things and people now?

Are memories crowding close
unbidden...
unwanted.

How close are the walls
and the days
and the nights
and the hours-of-minutes
and minutes-of-hours,

and what's right
-- what's wrong

and why does it matter
now
and not then
or then and not now?

I knew a
'girl'
- don't we all? -

and her smile
radiant
...captivating
so very, very alive.

And her eyes
ALWAYS
held me
in ways she couldn't realize.

She's so pretty
behind her eyes
and sometimes silly
and thought-full
sometimes hope-full
and yet - sometimes not.

She's a woman
in ev'ry sense
and with ev'ry breath taken
I'm glad
she touched me...
ever
...at all.

You always exclaim with such thankful heart everything yu've experienced. You provide a lovely framed painting of life with your thoughts and "what ifs?" Thank you!Thank you for the reprint. Your writing remains classic in it fits the moment1

Those coffee moments are so thoughtful, and thought provoking, aren't they?

I enjoy your writing style. Always something for the reader to ponder about life.
Fabulous last stanza!

Hmmm...I don't drink coffee much, and when I do, it's usually my decadent home brewed iced variety. Maybe if I had me a coffee moment or two, things'd be better? *grins*

Thanks for sharing YOUR moment with me, Chris! :)

i loved the thinking out loud you did here, and the way you expressed it was wonderful...i knew a girl...don't we all. (favourite line)
The rythm in the...how close are the walls stanza was superb, and its content...i loved. Thankyou.

To touch .. And be touched , ever so briefly, to remember .. maybe forever .. I appreciate all those who took time to touch .. thereby sharing, and maybe even caring .. To touch is a wonderful free gift .. And I hold dear each and every one who reached .. .. Sometimes we touch, with just a smile .. or a glance.. And we may never know what our little touches meant ..

I love your words .. Jasmine
