"Whispers On The Wind..."

"Whispers On The Wind..."

A Poem by Chris

"Whispers On The Wind..."

...Hi...

Such a lil word           ...Hi...
for a lil world
whirling
and whorls

of whispered bits of
meaning-less and less and          ...Hi...
then nothing at all.

...Hi...
                             ...Hi...
I heard ...you -       ...Hi...

on my side of the

  water's ...Hi... fall
and leaned into tomorrow
...Hi...
   ...Hi...

'til the colors swirled and rose

and fell then flew and became rainbows

as unicorns walked and played
  beneath and through.

...Hi...                    ...Hi...
              ...Hi...

I've lost the flowers in my eyes
as for moments shared - we passed and passed ...Hi...
mine back and forth
and the petals floated loose and fell away

one-by-one...Hi...

scattered
lost and alone ...falling  ...Hi...

one

by

every ...one

'til even my heart found
...nothing more to say.

...Hi...  ...Hi...

  ...Hi...

:) Sometimes, a "hi" can lift the world from my shoulders, sometimes a "hi" can drop the whole damn mess on my head. lol!
The little word can make big differences.

I like this.

I remember that first hi...and the frantic (it seemed) other hi's that came after, for days and nights. Up early to say hi, down late to say hi...

Those were great hi's...

Hi .. .. Your words cause me to think of "Aloha" ... a greeting, and a farewell ....

I felt lightened as I read this, as if "hi" is a bigger word than I realized, with much deeping meaning. I felt as if this were a song, I could hear a rhythm in the background. I think this would be wonderful as a spoken word poem.

Haha, this piece made me smile. I must admit I really did feel quite free and "Released while reading your piece. I am usually so..constricted to my form when I write and reading this seemed to liberate me from that for a moment. Quite a fun piece to read though I can't remember what it is about now though...like a sort of roller coaster ride i guess, I can't remember all the twists and turns but I know I had an awesome time reading.
