I watched "The Notebook" last evening.I spoke with a "listener" this morning.Paused at their work and listened some myself.A Tag Line listed by Hayley (http://www.writerscafe.org/Hayley%2A) gave me the title and the movie ("The Notebook") and this morning's talk and wanderings provided direction for this...
Ours is a world of perceptions. "What IS the right 'thing' to do and when?" "What isn't the thing to do and why?" What would each person do - does each person do - as we live? What ARE the realities of living?
Sanity - is the combined perceptions of others as to how we are to live our lives. Do we stay sane if we follow our own paths? Few people dwell on their own "guilt", each tends to bemoan "life" as if it betrayed them. In movies - actors follow script and direction. In life it seems others develop and continue the script and wannabe directors are always making pronunciations.
Becoming the person you are to be is a journey... and if it were easy you wouldn't appreciate the "paths" you will take, nor the effort YOU have to expend just to take each step.
"Cookies, coffee, and poetry..."
Stars and shapes - snowmen, drops, angels, cats, puppy-dogs, ginger-bread-men-women, sugar-sprinkled life-coated self-precious-precocious and so very, very - human.
Light - black - medium-to-dark roast 'til full em-bodied - empowered lost
sin-full-sweet-rich-poor bitter-dregs ground and soaked and steeped - in existence - in breathing - in the loss of self until you taste minutes, days, weeks, - your self as you've become.
I wonder so many whys I've had and lived through and with... moments shared - unspoken, unremembered, sitting side-by-side unseen and unknown - afraid to speak - afraid to live - afraid to BE until I understood being afraid not to speak, step, stand, reach... dream.
nice piece of Cinema, and a fine piece of writing, coffee and poetry seem to go together like hand and glove. Add cookies and that makes it all more sweet. I personally like the russian tea cakes with my coffee and poetry, but to each their own.
Ha ha I just talking about cookies with Lily Mae. I really like your construction here. It's unique and gives good feel. The Notebook is a great movie and I like my coffee cold lol. Nice work Chris.
Fragile and mysteriously elegant! This is a beautiful portrayal of how we evolve and grow between strength, crumbs and illusional worlds...all a stumble and battle to ground ourselves in this "Reality"...so we can pen and deliver a moment of earned clarity..
Superb love xoxo
"Life is a terminal disease." All the doctors have basically told me so.
"Life is an adventure... Pain, well you deal. Thanks for being here. 06/21/2020
