Saturday Morning - "Once Upon A Time..."

A Poem by Chris
"

"Once upon a time...", don't ever use that line during an interview because THEY might question their relevance to YOUR existence and then fade away into the "nothing" as you turn and walk away.

"

Hot Coffee and pausing with the thoughts of people I can only think of as "Friends" - a good way to meet a Saturday head-on.  What constitutes Friendship now?  or Acquaintanceship?  or just Passing-in-our-ever-more-night-and-nighter-ship?  Status used to be marked by the level of "intimacy" SHARED between people - as in personally shared between people.  And now we share our SOULS quite personally with people just a click away - and even when we don't even KNOW if they (or anyone) can see our "bareness" or even understand the barren-nesses so many wish-they-were-speaking of.

It isn't that NOW there ARE more poets in the world than ever before (at any given instant in the past) - though that IS a true statement of unconsidered fact.  It IS that we can and DO speak beyond our walls to within ANY other's walls that opens upon "Neverneverland's" portals pretty much instantaneously (and THAT was NOT available IN the not all that distant past).  Every one of us is a Poet - with something to be said: joke or vile spit; wit or whimsy; an aside, an inside, an out-side-looking-in; hell, even just "Hello".  I've always understood the reality of this - THIS - as a real existence, place, with real people on the other side of the glass-covered-window.  THIS is not television nor just an entertainment - though for some it seems to be considered that way.

in the woods

A Poem by Ed Hart

As our 'friends' "move-on" leaving fewer and fewer acquaintances, who 'stands' for us as time continues?  Ever feel like a native of old - the tribe moved on just after sunrise and left you sitting by the morning fire watching as it burned to now cold ash.  Dusk has set in and you awaken to an 'empty' open world unwanted, unneeded, unnecessary..."

Yeah, YOU started something - its YOUR fault... "Hey Ed... have a fair sip for me too - when ya can... k?"
