"Cafe Series; The Taste Of Today..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Archival Bookstore; Grand River Coffee Shop..."

"

Businessmen should have the opportunity to discuss their 'concerns' freely and without interruption - I never KNEW it could be so hard to NOT butt-in and share my life-view-opinions.  Seems everyone meanders into Coffee Cafes to partake of the sense of empowerment.  So many open-ended statements and questions... so many 'nothings' accepted and given - while awaiting future forgiveness.  So much innocence lost to pre-formed concepts of profit-to-not-be based themes.

This is a college town - students are 17 and up to geriatric - hell, even me.  There is a lot to learn especially in how others KNOW their own opinions and user-accepted factoids.  Statistics show the viewer anything the presentee wishes them to show/slant/prove... just takes the 'knowing' how.

CAFE Series

"The Taste Of Today..."

Sunshine, stares in passing -
unseeing eyes, so many
  lost puppy faces.

Imaginary waterfalls,
opposing ceiling fans -
unpurpose on purpose
for a purpose
  few would know.

Color co-ordinated people

--------- flowing -------
in-through-out-by-gone...
--------- forgot.

Unmatched I's -
wandering, wondering

doing their dues
  living their knots

being who they are
  becoming what they're not...

Dreams and schemes,
  themes and seems ~
tomorrows' might-wannabes
each - questing their Dragons.

it's almost as if

you read my mind

I wonder how often you offer your wisdom on a silver platter and the startled recipient admits that they appreciate your gift but don't really understand it . . .
