Dragons are in the heart and soul. Don't let the 'mind' take the magyk away from life - you'll too soon have 'nothings' left.
"Dragons Are Forever..."
Children grow and "Become" - what they come to believe what they allow others to FORCE them into believing.
Life IS - Pragmatic, real, pheromones, chemicals and imbalances. Its sex and cadence and regimented - time to wisely everything,
waste nothing on non-profit. POWER is the key tell and telling order- rows, grids, squares... permanence - ashes and finally dust. All our LIVES become dust. Our things - become dust.
Nature has no straight lines.
We are the ages ~ An age of 'have-nots'. Fun is a heartbeat, then a work week, then a month, then years apart as lost in life we lose the sparks that nature gave us.
They - and then we - take away the magyk and we understand and agree as we work hard and run and run in circles of straight lines - all to forget what we knew inside.
And everything dulls and dulls, the years doing as you must lead where? The eyes see the trees - bushes - gnarled, bent, old and in the way... forests - even we - all in the way. The noise is just the sound within - trapped by ears going, going, gone - deaf. The heart FEELS the cold but ice has no beauty. Clouds are shadows and annoyances - Rain is just ...wet, avoided,
miserable, cold and sodden. Snow is ice-melt steps and walkways and plastic shovels - aching legs, arms, and backs. You have time to LOOK but nothing any longer to see... not even that the hand you hold is just your own.
Dragons are forever and the faerie folk dance and magyk LIVES! Stars and starlight moonlight... the FEEL of the rain, and snowmen... and sunrises... sunsets... the gentle curve of fingertips finding a cheek... lips... even sparkling eyes gazing into forevermores... Dragons ARE forever.
This is perfect for me because I am a true Dragon lover myself... I love the idea of parallel universes and if I just put my hand right here.... ;) I'd be there..xx excellent write..xx
What a wonderful, wonderful piece of writing .. it's made me smile from outside in. However, Mister Chris, there's some sadness hidden in your lines, sadness that needs to be slowed down to a dribble of can't-do-anything-about-it-but-it's-what-brings-wisehood.
Dragons are the stuff dreams are made from and, once we discount those flame throwing wonders - who, in fact, are p***y cats behind all the dragonesque hot air, we stop dreaming and life becomes grey, grey, grey! I'm going to believe in dragons and elves and unicorns and stuff for as long as I can .. might even dance and prance when the moon's silvery full and grinning. Coming?
Thank you for believing:
' Stars and starlight
moonlight... the FEEL of the rain,
and snowmen... and sunrises... sunsets...
the gentle curve of fingertips
finding a cheek... lips...
even sparkling eyes gazing into
forevermores...
Dragons ARE forever.'
liked the reconfirmation of life in the final stanza contrasting with all the harshness of the previous. there is a sense of wonder in our fascination with dragons, childlike and intense. Stunning!
Absolutely!! If only we could remember to know the magic all around us and within us instead of giving in to the regimented demands of our lives. Wonderful write. Enjoyed this muchly. :)
You always have to feel what you write. this piece spoke to me about the loss of innocence, I am not sure if that is what you had intended but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It brought to mind the folk song "Puff the Magic Dragon". Also the way you spelled Magyk makes me think of the ritualistic form of Magic. I enjoyed.
It seems we need to believe in the mystical and ephemeral, because so much of what is real for us is anything but! And it is the nature of human beings to reach for the thought that brings them comfort, that brings a smile, that lifts the spirit, that offers inspiration.
"Life is a terminal disease." All the doctors have basically told me so.
"Life is an adventure... Pain, well you deal. Thanks for being here. 06/21/2020
