I would suggest you open each link as it occurs BUT in a separate window, and listen as you hear... but that is only my thought - whispering by... as I listened - I heard and whispered.I don't steal their thoughts... just found mine...
"As I Exist Within Each Breath..."- and Lifehouse punctuates...
Its always tomorrow and today and every yesterday... still.

As an aside: To all that pause - I recognized (and agree) about You Tube... being a distraction (from the very beginning)... BUT the intent was "Lifehouse" and the thoughts their work brought into being behind my eyes. A valid view of a mind working sometimes has to include the distractions that mind faces WHILE its being aware of flowing thoughts - yes?
If somebody gives the barest damn - 5 years from now about what I said, then what will they make-up to explain where my thoughts came from and just why I wrote them down?
Walking in another's shoes when you HAVE a clue is hard enough... let alone when you don't.

I forgave friends
forgave life
forgave existence
but
couldn't forgive me...
I feel like you were talking to me when I read this. Maybe that's why I'm without words...your poetry is just so DAMN personal. It shakes me to the core. It makes you all the more human and lovely to me. 100/100
I am so happy I found this one. I cannot say anymore than has already been said, I will admit to reading the poem sans interuption because once I started I simply HAD to read on. A flowing and highly sensitive piece of writing. A classic poem if ever there was one. Loved the ninth stanza so much, brilliant!

Ha! well I tell you with Jacob it is nigh on impossible!
Each of us has our life filled with moments. Some we recall willingly, others not so. But they are our moments. The moments that filled our lives with joy and sorrow. The moments that have defined who we are by our actions, our words, our loves, our hates and all the moments in between. To be in sync with them is the greatest joy, for it means we have accepted our life as having been and being as something good. Brilliant reflection. Thank you for sharing
heavy head Chris ;) love the first dance video ..says it all ...the gift ...the fall ... the redemption ... loved watching it ... absolutely turned my thoughts to Jesus Christ and the Creator :))))) Lighthouse writes songs along your lines of deep thinking .. it is no surprise you enjoy their music .. i appreciate your note on distraction vs. effect ... i think being encouraged to read and listen helped a lot because it caused me to see this as a "whole picture" that included all the links ... my favorite "take away from this is in these lines of yours:
"Its always tomorrow
and today
and every yesterday..." and i think using them as "book ends" for your poem works ...are you drifting towards a production of some kind? poetry has strong links to short stories, play writing, books then movies ;) thanks for sharing your heart Chris ..you always do :)

Well oh so deep- and forgiveness of self is rhe hardest but together with forgiveness of others equals true forgiveness setting oneself free- and yes whether we have a clue or not best be sure- not always easy on someone elses side- wonderfully written as always- have a fantabulous Friday x 🌹
I enjoyed both sides to this love...I can't even call it a piece for this is art in gathered momentum and perfection. I realise that when I read your works love, I may all too well fall into the trap of rambling but you make it seem ok to do so....if anything, I mean that as a compliment...your writing makes it feel safe, almost, to allow emotions to surface that can be related to or can be healed or at least given some solace :)
Through your words, I find splinters of sunlight through the darkest shadows...a person who can say "Alright, I have done it...survived, can smile as well as cry."
Absolutely remarkable...as always Chris, I am blessed to follow the coloured threads through your work...peace and love dear heart xoxo
This is, I'd use this if somebody asked me what to shoot for, writing. Spare, so every word damn well counts, extra ones beyond the point only waste time. Shoot for the gut when hunting a reader's emotion, when you see the bleeding, get out of town.
This isn't fawning, this is exactly how I write, what I shoot for. I take my whiskey neat, my poetry powerful, with a side of "Brevity thy name is Art."
Beauty. Kudos.
"Life is a terminal disease." All the doctors have basically told me so.
