"Coming Back From - Every When..." Poem

A Poem by Chris

"Coming Back From - Every When..."

God whispered...
and I could see -
and the waves of being flowed through me
and lifted me up and up and
...the clouds kissed my face with their rain.

Then the winds came and bathed me in gentle-fingertips
and so softly clothed me in stardust.
The sun shiver-smiled in my heart...

and I saw - you
just
...there -

arms open, hands reaching
so far into
my soul...

and I cried.

Oh yes, yes, yes... I know that feeling well. When it happens so fast and so sudden you think you imagined it afterward, but when you kick back down to quiet spaces and the theta waves flow, you realize that maybe this kind of connection is the only reality there is. It is said if God is love, then what better way to connect than by purely and absolutely allowing ourselves to love someone or something to the point of having our very souls embraced; that point where the horizon line vanishes into the sunset and you try to recapture it in words or paint and always always fall short. But then, we have words like yours to remind us that the sublime exists here on earth. Beautifully done.
