"The Faerie..." Poem

A Poem by Chris

"The Faerie..."

Sparkles
and moonbeams
and hummingbirds
- just so,
A floating halo...

Honeysuckle
and lavendar
scents
wafting so near -
twisting, sidling,
inveigling within...

Weeping-willow fronds
drape softly closed
and hovering
hiding, shielding,
embracing...

awaits - right there...
as she -
lips upturned to heaven's heights
eyes half-lidded with heart's full weight
knows so very, very deeply within
- his lips brushed her soul
again -
and for'er marked her... his.

How did I miss this one ...

Everything right where we dreamed it would be..

A floating halo indeed .

Beautiful.. draws me in and takes me back, to the times and kisses that branded me.... HIS

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww .... Jazz

Wonderfully written, hidden love is often the most powerful to the heart.

I like the image of the willow closing its fronds softly around...

Oh I do like the Sidhe. But don't tell them. Having written this I think you must be a changeling.

This was a great pleasure for me :)
"white silver bells
upon a slender stalk
lilies of the valley
deck my garden walk
oh don't you wish
that you could hear them ring
that will happen only when the Faeries sing.."
awaits - right there...

"as she -
lips upturned to heaven's heights
eyes half-lidded with heart's full weight
knows so very, very deeply within
- his lips brushed her soul
again -
and for'er marked her... his."

an old folk song.. you made me think of it.. I wonder if that is why the Faerie sings...

Sweetly ethereal and whimsical!

I really get sick and tired of all the cliche a*s stuff people write about, but you take a overwrote topic and give it new life! And I'm a word nerd, I loved the part:

inveigling within
and for'er marked her... his.

Nice=!

I love the ephemera and gentleness that surround these words. When I closed my eyes and spoke the words I could picture everything so clearly, and myself within its midst. It was a lovely feeling. Thanks for sharing!
