The story of life - our lives are all the roads so traveled... paths of existence - of changing times displaced lives - echoes of fear wanderers ~ lost and found even freedoms - new days new ways ever and all ~ pathways.
What IS the distance 'tween now and then as fading to the past we stretch through all the futures - 'til all the who's we are were will be - every me tastes infinity.
Chris,
Your last two words are so telling, "tastes infinity." Memories of bright days lived, past pathways of life lived, once real; to our todays....where we are now. This poem of yours, "somewhere over the rainbows" gives voice to this feeling of just being in a process of eternity. I feel this way; like a child of an infinitous reality, a vulnerable child who knows how tenuous life is. But here I- we all are..............Your words, "What is the distance between now and then?" and "stretch through all the futures." My hat's off to many more rainbows! Thank you so much for writing. It was a true, lovely and Good write to this walker of rainbows!! Kathy
Very profound , and I totally agree, but I might pretend not to just to get you to elaborate on it, such as "every me" is that a reference to alter or past egos? reincarnations?
God! I love this one as well! ugh..you made me soo happy! I felt a thrill reading and anticipating the next line. You do know I'm going through your work 3 a day now as I have made an effort for myself, as time will allow me to do so, due to my busy life. Chris you rock. And to you other readers it hint's at "somewhere" over the rainbow.
since you used a rainbow as a symbol, it goes well with this subtle force of nature - rain mixed with sunshine in life brings forth beauty even with sorrow and pain. the spirit transcends, hopeful.
"Life is a terminal disease." All the doctors have basically told me so.
"Life is an adventure... Pain, well you deal. Thanks for being here. 06/21/2020
