"Third Table From The Left..."A Poem by ChrisCafe“Third Table From The Left…”
I wandered the Café today. Found this: Tears on the Boulevard A Poem by Plainly Meg.
Heck of a question …Meg. But a real one.
This made me look inside and thoughts started leaking. For me, it's only when the reality within what I see …touches behind my eyes… thank YOU.
Give the Lady a pause, your mind will notice.
“Third Table From The Left…”
I know why I wandered the Café today. But not because -
It's raining here… cold, the chill kinda cold. The white noise silence. A deep breath of Tuesday, …always a Tuesday… (do you talk your thoughts aloud? And yeah - I’ve been known to - a time or ten.)
I remembered Portugal; a month circling Crete; glaciers and fjords; “To Missing Friends…”; peacocks and gardens: three-lane one-lane byways: the M80: …and then Istanbul.
I retouched “innocence”, and naivete, smiles and the long, unseeing stares.
I can taste the echoes …and that’s so wrong - but it’s what we do now.
Guess I’ll go back to wandering. Yeah, that’s it …wandering, and listening and pausing …to let the rain …out…
Chris
