"The Morning IS Broken..."

"The Morning IS Broken..."

"The Morning IS Broken..."

There ARE special moments
- not the kind where we SAY we "understand"
but truly do not,
but the kind where we truly HAVE lost
people and "forever" children -
so we DO understand the level
of reality another is facing and trying
so hard to deal with.

Life is soooo heavy.
The air is nearly too thick to breathe.
Everything is slo-motion.
Sounds are life-less.
Even the light seems dimming.
It isn't that the mind seems numb
- it just is ...numb.

Habits take hold
...and the hurt gets sharper.
Silence isn't golden
and the echoes,
the echoes...
echo ...inside
and there IS reason for the tears dripping,
there is ...reason.

And the memories have just begun,
just begun - ya KNOW?
And others don't "get it" 'til
they DO - 'til it is their loss
being dealt with.

Humanity's commonality IS
living with and feeling...
life and loss.  I truly miss
...so many...
and KNOW -
YOU do understand.

Time seems to drag people along, laden too often by slips and trips, every day bruises and cuts Seen as lonely by choice or circumstance there's nobody to pat shoulder and whisper. 'there, there' Your thoughts have always run deeply. often sharing a silent path, seen but not heard

Life allows one to live on and on.. days raging and gathering sad and pain. They are carried along like that proverbial rolling stone because how-where to leave such a lived-in life behind, complete as is with people, emotions and all. We feel it, experience it and sting from it.. is how life is. It happens, like it or not. We walk in our own shoes.. not always understanding.. Perhaps I think.

Your every word feels so different from the poetic ones where both personal and reflective shares present honestly. Real incidents are often deprived of justice and rhythmic endings. '... isn't that ... seems
- it just is ...' is self-explanatory. I am sorry that you've to face that phase once again when writing it.

Beautifully written! I think you're trying to say ''life isn't always beautiful, life holds pain, as well''

Your second stanza in particular spoke to me Chris. The losses mount up with the years. It is so painful losing those we love. With each loss, I feel a part of me has gone too. And then there are the losses that we are all so horrified by. The innocents dying in current conflicts. Yes, there is reason for the dripping tears. It is what it is. Pleased to have stopped by today. Wishing you a peaceful Thanksgiving.

Life just comes and go, I often wonder about Human nature,
Do we live just to live? I mean we're all going to pass away one day.
Do we merely exist. Intriguing write

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts as well...
now my days have cooled
a body feels loss
limbs stop warming
and hearts, slow and forget
some day love will not be
a body will be cold
and there is no ONE to know ..
