"Being Me..."

"Being Me..."

Another price to admission...

"Being Me..."

I keep returning here...

I wander a bit

see a bit

read and listen ...a bit

and return here

pause

softly breathe

daydream

think

breathe again

then... am off to wander

all through the glass

the whole world -

all the voices and moments ...beckoning.

drawing,

pausing as I always do...

then return here

pause

softly breathe

daydream

remember how to think

and dream again

- breathe again

be ...again

then off to wander ...again

to return again

here...

and BE ...again.

The only surety a person has in life is live and be yourself, in my opinion. I like how you illustrate a tendency of living a retail life and getting out there a bit, instead of being, Being is much more life quality friendly. You did a good job with this. Nothing beats being!

Self musing at it's best. What a wonderful way to think.... Day dream and remember how to think.... Really sometimes need arises to think how to think... Nice reading it.

Love the hat and the mind behind your eyes. Come again.
What an awesome depiction to show how people can be swayed this way & that way as they go thru life, or as they go thru the day, but in the end, the core person remains & will eventually emerge. It's like coming home to one's own truth, one's spirituality if that's what's there, or an evil heart if that's what's there. Very thought-provoking writing written with cleverness (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

i feel free to relate to this as i am aging....to remember to think...yes, have to do that sometimes...
and then start again, write again, know i am still human and alive again.
Part of this reminds me of Plath's "Lady Lazarus"---
"the peanut crunching Crowd jamming in to see them unwrap me hand to foot"---or something to that effect...

Morning Fran... early days. Hope all is well.
Life is full of both wanderings and moments of self solitude and introspection. Personally, it's the way I prefer it. It keeps one balanced on a level footing. I am sure we can all understand the crux of your poem. Well written, Chris.
