"Three For The Price Of Admission..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Life as we live it.

"

Three for the price of admission.  That is a fair and ongoing rate - I’ld say.  Life as we live it…

Isn’t it strange how “A Good Story” is seldom told but always heard…

“A Good Story…”

I dreamt of God,

and touching stars…

Finding Love -

and being “more”…

And learned…

the costs of tears.

“Blessed Be.”

“It Was Always In The Eyes…”

Every smile

Became the dream…

I died within.

“Dealing…”

At times …I hurt…

real - AND thought-full-ly

…hurt IS that ya know -

both real AND thoughtful.

And at other times …I remember

…"smiling"…

and the soul fills up

and I even cry …too.

And then…

well, that would be telling -

but that's what we do - isn't it?

We tell

and feel

and continue

…and sometimes… breathe

- as we can,

and sometimes really can’t …too -

it’s what we do.

Isn’t it?

…isn’t it…

Chris

Wow this is awesome poetic muse as you jot them down in an interesting way. Unique monologue style. My fav stanza was that of touching stars and dreamt of God. Kudos and keep writing.

Expressing our thoughts IS what we do... thanks for pausing with me.
