Academia has changed the meanings and forms of Senyru and Haiku to their own views.  To that end is this:

10 November 2018 - for those that understand “Semper Fi”

For those that don’t …“Happy Birthday”.

“The Toast…”

“Missing Friends”…

I learned AWARENESS

Each friend - ev’ry time.

and

Ends

don’t justify tomorrows…

just nightmares.

and

The sound of wings…

Buzzing… so closely by -

Follows you.

Happy is subjective.

Memories may float and fade
but sometimes
burrow down deep
living inside a keep sake heart.

Jazzy ♥

Thanks for sharing these. Hope you have a peaceful day tomorrow, a quiet reconciled day. I think perhaps you have earned it.

i agree with olla as to the favorite, but they all connect...to me, the sounds of war, the sounds maybe no one else hears during the aftermath...what it does to those who have served, the lasting impression that won't ever let up...those nightmares live within us like bad renters...
