The instant I saw the title, then started reading, I was put in mind of one of my father's favourite songs; 'Rain' by the Pussycats. He used to play it frequently when my my sister and I were children. I haven't listened to it for a while now, but you beautifully evocative poem makes me want to hear it again.
Raindrops, rainfall, rainstorm- all with a different intensity, a different sound and vision “behind the eyes”. Your poem is emotive and fragile, reaching out to yesterday and tomorrow. Beautiful language and imagery in the lines. And the silence after the rich presence of sound- deafening, echoing- yes. The death after life. Excellent write my friend

It was nice having you pause again... take care, Chris
The rain can produce many different sounds and I love listening to all of them. Rainfall can evoke many emotions and many memories. I like what I have read here Chris.
This is good! Very descriptive and gives the rain personification almost!
Love,
Sarah
