I wandered Emma Joy Green’s “Words”.

She asked we respond with our own instead of reviewing hers.  So…

“Another Today…”

Lavender and honeysuckle

…entwine…

arms enfolding dreams -

held close and tight

as the mind awakens to "nows".

Deep breath -

deep, deep …breath

tasting…tasting…the senses

reaching…reaching

past tomorrows

through all the yesterdays

‘til

…a softly whispered "Good Morning…"

echoes out to cross the world.

The eyes still glisten

still smile -

remember…

as feet touch the floor

…sunrise awaits, as it always has -

always will

…await

and coffee's need is deep

and earned.

Windows beckon

…"looking-through" -

into the glass of the world -

and touching the tears of due

silently slipping down, down

and down…inside

and sometimes outside too.

Coffee mist rising to transparency,

ears remembering silence -

mind reliving its echoes

…fingertips…bleeding.

Life continues…

Ya gotta try - its all we have - ya know?
Windows beckon
…"looking-through" -
into the glass of the world -
and touching the tears of due
silently slipping down, down
and down…inside
and sometimes outside too..............

Oh my .. outside too. sigh.
Something many of us
can relate to.

I stopped making coffee
straight away, instead
I go out and feed the birds
and assorted critters
that come..
they are so needy
and I need them !
I don't remember silence
just the voices of
loved ones, who no longer
love.
Time hasn't healed wounds
they are open and salty.
Nightmares stay fresh
and I curse, and mumble
at myself ..
Still there is hope..
somewhere inside-
and I do want
more !

EmmaJoy..is such a giving soul
and she sees and appreciates the world
and reaches out to greet, smiling
She is the bright part of my day !
and I love her ..

A wonderful and heart-full
comment to her WORDS..

Wow! Chris and Emmajoy- collaborative match made in Heaven...so shreddingly beautiful! Guitars, flutes, piano heard...wake up and smell the coffee, both poets bid us..."looking through" the glass of the world-we are all Alice. 'I've got blisters on my fingers", and they bleed. Organic and elemental and spiritual...Master Class.
